Known Issues of Latest Windows 10 Mobile Phones

As we all know by now, Microsoft has released next build version 10051 of Windows 10 for Phones. This is still a technical preview version of Windows 10 for Phones. Latest Windows 10 build 10051 is not a production version of Windows 10 for mobile phones. Hence, you need to be careful before upgrading your primary phone to this pre prod version 10051 of Windows 10. I’ve upgraded my primary phone Lumia 635 to Windows 10 build 10051 (Windows 10 TP version for Phones 10.0.12534.56). Have a look at the list of known issues listed down before taking the decision of upgrading the phone. I’ve maintained known issue list for previous build version 9941 Known Issues Identified with Windows Phone 10. I’ll go through the new features (and known issues if I find any) in details once I start using the latest build for couple of days. Biggest problem with this release is alignment of screens.

Keep updating about the issues which you faced on Windows Phones after Windows 10 upgrade. I’ll try to keep this list updated. More Info about known issues in Windows site here.

When an alarm is triggered, Dismiss button won’t be visible on my 630 Lumia after the upgrade Windows 10 Phone.

Data cannot be disabled.. which means of you want to log into a hotspot that requires credentials to entered through a landing page it will not work. The phone tries to bring up the landing page by navigating to “www.windowsphone.com”.. but it doesn’t turn data off, which means the actual page is always loaded using mobile data , and you never get the landing page.

This means logging into public hotspots at airport, café, companies etc is out!

Also the field for proxy server when creating a new internet apn manually does not store the value. It is always gone when you reopen it
