Download and Install Windows 10 Preview Build 10158

Microsoft has released Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 10158 for PCs. Microsoft claims that this build is full of improvements to stability and quality as well as some additional UI polish. It also has some great new features included for Microsoft Edge as well. Most importantly this build of Windows 10 has the fix for the issue that was preventing the Surface 3 from upgrading successfully in prior builds. Surface Pro 3 battery related issues have been fixed in this build. Another great news is that we would be able to download and try preview releases of Windows 10 SDK by tomorrow.

I’m a great fan of  Snipping Tool and in this Windows 10 build Microsoft introduced new little cute feature with that now, we can set up to a 5-second delay to capture pop-up menus.


Insider Hub application is not coming as pre installed from this build on wards. You need to install it separately. As we are very close to RTM release of Windows 10 🙂Windows 10 Insider Hub

Photos app for Windows 10: Microsoft updated Photo app, it’s more reliable and it can now support animated GIF files.

Cortana integration with Office 365 : Cortana gets even better with a connection to Office 365, which enhances Cortana’s ability to help you prepare for meetings.

Continuum : Microsoft fixed loads of bugs related to continuum. Also, improved Tablet mode animations, improved support for Windows 8/8.1 apps and classic (Win32) apps in Tablet mode.

Microsoft Edge : Windows 10 latest build comes with great new features and improvements. “home” button for Microsoft Edge, import favorites/bookmarks feature, new customizations for the New Tab page, fixes Audio isue from Microsoft Edge plays while the app is minimize etc…
