How to Automate Maintenance Mode via PowerShell in SCOM

Are you looking for PowerShell automatons in SCOM or System Center Operation Manager? For a change, I’m not talking about SCCM / ConfigMgr maintenance window rather this is SCOM or Operation Manager.

Initially, Group Maintenance Mode Powershell scripts is Developed and Posted  here by Steve Rachui. The same script is updated and published here by Tao Yang. The updated powershell script will work with OpsMgr 2007 and OpsMgr 2012.

You can use the following PowerShell script if you don’t want to put the whole computer into maintenance mode, instead, a number of databases or websites into maintenance mode.  Read the full post HERE. This scripts and following tools are primarily for OpsMgr SCOM 2007, but may work for SCOM 2012.

There is one other post here which covers similar topic “Putting a Group of Computers into Maintenance Mode via Powershell”.
