To try out the new Copilot-powered New Tab Page in Edge Canary, open the browser and type “edge://flags” into the address bar, then press Enter. In the search bar at the top of the Flags page, type “NTP” to filter the relevant options. Enable all the flags related to the New Tab Page, and then restart the browser for the changes to take effect.

When you open Copilot, you’ll see a menu offering three main modes of interaction. By default, Copilot combines search, navigation, and chat suggestions to help you find what you need more quickly. If you choose Search and Navigate, Copilot leverages AI to deliver smarter web results and streamline your browsing.
Switching to Chat turns Copilot into a conversational assistant, ready to answer questions or discuss topics in a back-and-forth dialogue. And if you just want a straightforward query or to jump directly to a webpage, you can select Ask Copilot, Search the Web, or Open Webpage to get started right away.
