Microsoft is testing a redesigned New Tab Page in the Edge browser that puts Copilot at the center. Available in the Edge Canary version, this new layout replaces the traditional MSN news feed with a cleaner, more focused interface that mirrors the Copilot app and web experience.

How to Translate Full English PDF Documents into Spanish using MS Edge Browser

The PDF translation feature is now available in the Microsoft Edge Canary version. Microsoft is still testing it and collecting feedback. Microsoft plans to add this feature to the regular version of Edge soon. It is a small update, but it makes Edge even more useful for people who work or learn with content in different languages.

Note: PDF translation is currently in preview and will be generally available soon. You can try it out now in the Canary build.

StepsDescription
Open PDFOpen the PDF file in Microsoft Edge.
Click Translation IconClick the translation icon in the toolbar.
Choose LanguageIn the pop-up window, click the dropdown and select your preferred language.
Click TranslateClick the Translate button.
View Translated PDFA new window will open with the full PDF translated into your chosen language.

How to Translate Full PDF Documents

In the screenshot below, you can see that the PDF is in Afrikaans. When you open a PDF in Microsoft Edge, you’ll notice a translation icon in the toolbar (as shown below). Click on that icon, and a small window will pop up. Then, click the down arrow to choose your preferred language.

  • After selecting the language, just click the Translate button to see the full PDF in your chosen language.

Translate PDFs in Microsoft Edge to 70+ Languages

With just one click, you can pick your preferred language from over 70 options like Spanish, French, Chinese, Hindi, and more. Microsoft Edge will then translate the whole PDF while keeping the layout and formatting the same. This makes the document easy to read and understand, without losing its original structure or meaning.

  • Here we choose the English language and click Translate button

End User Experience

After you click the Translate button, Edge will open a new window to show the translated copy of your PDF. This may take a few seconds. In the second screenshot below, you can see that the entire PDF has been successfully translated into English.
