Enable Full Screen Mode
The Allow Full Screen Policy can be easily configured on Windows devices using either Microsoft Intune or by setting a custom 0MA-URI(Open Mobile Alliance Uniform Resources Identifier). This post will explain both methods.

Windows Configuration Service Provider (CSP)
The policy Configuration Service Provider (CSP) is a tool for businesses to manage settings on Windows 10 and 11 devices. It details each policy’s function (Description Framework Properties), available choices (Allowed Values), and how it relates to older Group Policy settings (Group Policy Mapping details).

Steps to Enable Full Screen Mode using Intune
To start deploying this policy in Intune, sign in to the Microsoft Intune Admin Center. Then go to the Devices> Configuration> Policy> Create> New policy.

Then you can see a create a profile window, add the platform Windows 10 and later, profile type Settings Catalog. Then click the create button.

Basic Step for Allow Full Screen Mode
Here, we can add the name (e.g Allow Full Screen Mode) of the policy and give a brief description (e.g To enable Full Screen Mode).

Configuration Settings
In Configuration Settings, you can see the Add Settings option. Click on the Add Settings button to open the Settings Picker.

Settings Picker
In the Settings picker, you can search for the Settings quickly. Here, I choose the Browser category, select Allow Full Screen Mode to configure it, and then close the Settings Picker window.

Once you have selected Allow Full Screen Mode Policy and closed the Settings picker. You will see it on the Configuration page. Here we have only two settings: Allow or Block. By default, Allow Full Screen Mode will be set to Allow.
- If you want to allow these settings, click on the Next button.

Block Allow Full Screen Mode Policy
You can block the Full Screen Mode Policy by toggling the switch. After reviewing or adding more settings, you can click the Next button to proceed.

Scope Tags
The scope tag is not mandatory, so you can skip this section. It functions as a tool for organisation and access management, but assigning it is optional. Click Next if they’re not required for your setup.

Assigned group for Full Screen Mode Policy
On the Assignments tab, you can see Add groups under the included group section. From the list, select the group that we want to target (e.g., Test_HTMD_Policy). Then click Next to move on.

Finalise Full Screen Mode
We’re at the final Review + Create step, which shows a summary of the profile settings. To make changes, click Previous. Click Create to finish, and a message will confirm that the Allow Full Screen Mode was created.

Device and User Check-in Status
To view a policy’s status, go to Devices > Configuration in the Intune portal, select the policy (like Allow Full Screen Mode), and check that the status shows Succeeded (1). Use manual sync in the Company Portal to speed up the process.

OMA-URI Settings to Full Screen Mode
An OMA-URI is a unique address that points to a specific setting controlled by a Configuration Service Provider (CSP). It is a text string that sets custom configurations on Windows 10 and 11 devices, and its format depends on the CSP itself. Here’s a step-by-step guide.
- Sign in to Microsoft Intune
- Go to Devices > Configuration
- Click Create, and then the new policy.
- Choose the platform as Windows 10 or later.
- For Profile type, select Templates and then choose Custom.
- Provide a Name: Allow Full Screen Mode Policy
- Add a Description( e.g To enable Full Screen Mode Policy)
- Click on + Add under OMA-URI Settings to configure the specific setting.
- To Configure the OMA-URI Setting, do the following
- Enter a name, such as Allow Full Screen Mode Policy.
- Description: To Allow Full Screen Mode Policy.
- Enter the following OMA-URI path: ./Device/Vendor/MSFT/Policy/Config/Browser/AllowFullScreenMode.
- Set the Data type to Integer.
- Enter the value
- 1 To Allow Full Screen Mode.
- 0 To Block Full Screen Mode.
- After entering the above details, click the Save button
