Microsoft Almost Announced the Next Generation of Windows | Windows 10X is not the next Generation Anymore

Microsoft Almost Announced the Next Generation of Windows at the Build 2021 conference. Why am I saying almost announced? Well, it’s not announced; rather, it was a tease. This is because the name of the next-generation Windows is not announced yet.

Microsoft CEO Satya mentioned that Windows 10 is used by more than 1.3 billion people to work, learn, and play. What do you think is the name of the next generation of Windows 10? Let me know in the comments section. Can it be Windows 11, Windows 12, or something else?

You can watch a video from Satya and his announcement about the next generation of Windows. I’m really excited to see and learn more about the next-generation Windows. Some rumors are there Microsoft is working with the newest version of Windows code-named “Sun Valley”.

Microsoft Almost Announced the Next Generation of Windows

Let’s break down what Satya mentioned in the keynote!

Patch My PC

Satya – “Soon, we will share one of the most significant updates to Windows of the past decade to unlock greater economic opportunity for developers and creators.”

Satya – “I’ve been self-hosting it over the past several months, and I’m incredibly excited about the next generation of Windows.”

This is all about the newest version of Windows. The next generation of Windows. The next generation of Windows is not Windows 10X. You can read more about this in the following article by Mary Jo Foley Microsoft drops Windows 10X before it ever launched.

Adaptiva

Satya – “Our promise to you is this: we will create more opportunities for every Windows developer today and welcome every creator who is looking for the most innovative, new, open platform to build and distribute and monetize applications.”

I think this statement is again related to the new Microsoft app store monetization options with Windows MSI/EXE apps along with modern apps. .
