New Enhancement for Managing Apple Vision Pro
Now Intune and Apple introduced major updates for managing Apple Vision Pro with visionOS 26, focusing on Declarative Device Management (DDM), automated enrollment, and expanded enterprise security controls. These changes make Vision Pro devices easier to enroll, faster to configure, and more secure for corporate use.
Declarative Device Management (DDM) Expansion
DDM now covers networking, app configuration, and software update enforcement moving beyond the older reactive MDM model. Devices enforce policies autonomously and report status proactively, eliminating the need for 15‑minute or 8‑hour check‑in cycles. This means instant policy enforcement on Vision Pro, iOS 26, and macOS 26 devices.
Automated Device Enrollment (ADE) for VisionOS
Microsoft Intune now supports corporate-owned Vision Pro enrollment via ADE. Setup Assistant panes (like location selection or terms acceptance) can be skipped for automated enrollment, ensuring privacy-preserving defaults. Devices can be securely erased and automatically re‑enrolled (“Return to Service”), making them ready for reuse quickly.

MAM for Apple Vision Pro- a Quick Demo
Here, we show how MAM for Apple Vision Pro operates. Users can access all their Office apps on the device (see the above screenshot), smoothly log in, and set up an authenticator for secure access.
Once logged in, users can access their Teams, allowing easy collaboration and communication. For example, if users ask for a project update in Teams, they can quickly receive and share the information. The user experience is similar to iPhones, where app protection rules stop unauthorized data sharing.
The important aspect of this is if someone tries to copy information from a project update and save it in Notepad, the organization’s rules will block this, keeping the data secure.
Above, I mentioned that if the user tries copying and pasting the information into Notepad, the organization will block it (you can check the screenshot below), just like it works on iPhones or Apple Vision Pro. The same features, like MAM, app protection policies, and conditional access, will be available for Apple Vision Pro.
