Enabling the Microsoft Account Sign-In Assistant allows users to access various Microsoft services and applications, such as OneDrive, Office 365, and the Microsoft Store, which rely on Microsoft account authentication.

Go to the Intune Admin Center portal |
Go to Devices > Windows >Configuration > Create > New Policy |

To create a policy on the Intune Settings Catalog, select the Platform and Profile type for the policy. Here, I selected Windows 10 and later as the Platform and Settings catalog as the profile type.
Then, you will enter the Basic Tab. This is the first tab in the Intune Settings catalog to create a profile. In this window, add the Name and Description of your policy. This helps to identify the policy later. Click on the Next button to continue.
Configuration Settings
Configuration Settings are a very important part of policy creation. With the settings catalog, you can choose which settings to configure. Click on Add Settings to browse or search the catalog for the settings you want to configure.
- Click on the +Settings
After clicking on the +Add settings, you will get a settings window to select the settings. Here, you can search for settings for easiness. Or browse by category. Here, I choose Accounts settings and Allow Microsoft Account Sign-in Assistant settings from Accounts.
After selecting the policy, you can see it on the configuration page. Enable (Manual start)the Allow Microsoft Account Sign-in Assistant. Then click on the Next button.
Scope Tag
Next is the Scope tags tab. You can skip this tab, and completing this section on the Intune Portal is not mandatory to create a policy. Click on the Next button to continue.
Assignment
On the Assignment tab, you can select groups to assign the policy to. Click on the + Add groups from the Included groups button and select your groups from the group list. Click on the Select button, and the selected groups will be shown on the Assignment tab. Click on the Next button.

Review + Create
Review + Create is the tab that helps users review and manage settings. This page summarises your policy, and you can check each tab from here. After monitoring all the steps, click on the Create button. Then, you will get a notification that the Policy has been created successfully.
Policy Creation Status
After receiving the notification, you can check the policy on the Intune Portal. To access this, go to Devices and Configuration, search for your policy, and open it.
Monitor the Device and User Check-in Status
Here, the Allow Microsoft Account Sign In Assistant policy is succeeded, with 1 instance marked as succeeded. The screenshot below shows more details.
End User Experience
You can easily check the created Intune policy the Allow Microsoft Account Sign In Assistant policy status using Event viewer.
- Open Event Viewer: Go to Start > Event Viewer.
- Navigate to Logs: In the left pane, go to Application and Services Logs > Microsoft > Windows > DeviceManagement-Enterprise-Diagnostics-Provider > Admin.
