Basics
The basic step is the first tab you have to deal with. It is very easy to handle. In the basic tab, you have to enter Basic details such as policy Name, Description, policy type, and platform. Please fill them in correctly. The policy type cannot be changed. It is selected as Intune by default.
Settings
Now you can type or search the policy name by using a search box or categories. When you select the policy (Show home button user), you will get 2 options: value and more details. In the value tab, you will get the option to Enable and turn off the policy.
- Here, I selected the Enable option for the policy.

Assignments
Assignment is the option that allows the admin to choose which groups of users will be assign the policy. Once a group is selected, the policy will apply only to the users in that group, making it easier to control who has access to specific features or settings. After clicking on the select group option, you can select the group that wants to deploy the policy.
- For example, I selected the HTMD Cloud PC group and then clicked on the select option.
- Now you get a notification that the Group has been updated successfully.
Finish
Once you’re satisfied with all the choices and settings, you click on the “Review and Create” button to finalize the policy. This is the step where you’re confirming that everything is correct and you’re ready to apply the policy.
Once you click the “Review and Create” button and successfully create the policy, the system will notify you that the policy has been successfully set up. This lets you know that everything is set and ready to be deployed to the assigned groups.
