New Update On File Explorer in Windows 11
File Explorer gets new features in new updation. The MS announcement said that the recent updates add a modernized File Explorer Home that WinUI powers. A new gallery, A new details pane, and many other changes will be added in the new File Explorer.

What is New in Address Bar
In this update, Microsoft has updated the file explore address bar; it is the most important change done by Microsoft for File Explorer. After the updation, you can see the changes in the address bar; the command bar now appears at the bottom of the address bar.
The new address bar offers many features and shows your file’s status. For Microsoft OneDrive users, the address bar now contains your OneDrive sync status and a quota flyout box.
New Details Pane
A newly designed Details pane is quite interesting. In the command bar section, you can see the details button (Alt+ Shift + P), which will help you; the pane displays contextual information about the selected file. It includes a file thumbnail, its sharing status and button, emails, and more.

Redesigned Home Page
WinUI powers the modernized file explorer home in the new update. There are some changes in the Home page’s visual and some categories in the Home page like Recommended, Favourites, Recent. The carousel only appears in the Azure AD account.
New Gallery Changes
The Gallery is completely changed in the new update; these changes will help the user to identify the photos through different sizes of thumbnails. Your most taken photos will appear at the top of the gallery. This includes images from your phone if you have OneDrive Camera Roll Backup set up.

The other feature in the Gallery section is the Collection option. This will help the user to choose which folder to see in the gallery. It manages the gallery by adding or removing folders from locations across your PC. Folders added here will still be stored in their original locations.
Archive Formats
In this new update, you can use the Extract all option from compressed folders; this feature was only for the Zip formats. This update adds native support for reading additional archive file formats utilizing the lib archive open-source project. This will allow native support for RAR and 7-Zip archival formats.
