New Intune SCCM Microsoft Feedback Portal UserVoice is Dead

Let’s discuss the Intune SCCM Microsoft Feedback portal and UserVoice for Intune and SCCM. Microsoft released a feedback portal (preview) version for Teams and Edge. Intune and ConfigMgr (Microsoft Endpoint Manager) feedback should be given via Twitter or some other communication channels for now.

Updated on 11th Nov 2021 – Microsoft released Intune SCCM Microsoft Feedback portal. You can now share new feedbacks, feature requests, ideas for Intune and SCCM from the Microsoft feedback portal.

I received a comment on the How To Provide Feedback for ConfigMgr Intune Via UserVoice Portal post. The question was, “Uservoice seems to be dead? Links are dead.” Well, the links are dead for sure. For now, you will need to use any of the methods shared in this post to provide feedback to the Microsoft Product Group.

As far as I know, the MEM team wanted to get feedback and ideas from the community. You can still submit your ideas and feedback about Intune and SCCM through many channels discussed in this post today.

Patch My PC

The Microsoft product group has already created dedicated feedback or feature request options for Windows 365 Cloud PC products. The Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) product team calls this Product Ideas, you can get more details about this at the bottom of this post.

SCCM Microsoft Feedback portal

SCCM Microsoft Feedback portal is the new place where Configuration Manager customers and the community can provide feedback and new ideas about the MEM product called ConfigMgr. You can log in to the Microsoft Feedback portal with outlook | Live | Office 365 email IDs.

Shortcut URL for ConfigMgr Microsoft Feedback Portal – https://aka.ms/ConfigMgrFeedback (not working while updating this post). You can use the full URL https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com/feedback/forum/4669adfc-ee1b-ec11-b6e7-0022481f8472

You can use Feedback to tell us which features you love, or when a feature could be better. You can also stay up to date on new and upcoming features. You can also see what others are talking about and add your voice to the conversation. There are already 600 pieces of feedback available for ConfigMgr in the Feedback portal.

‧ Search and see if someone gave similar feedback.
‧ Upvote or comment to tell us if you agree or are experiencing the same feedback.
‧ Give us new feedback that others can find and discuss.

NOTE! – Now you can use Send a Suggestion (ALT+SHIFT+9) option from the SCCM console to open this feedback portal.

Intune Microsoft Feedback Portal

Intune Microsoft Feedback portal is the new place where Intune customers and the community can provide feedback and new ideas about the MEM product called Intune. You can log in to the Microsoft Feedback portal with outlook | Live | Office 365 email IDs.

Shortcut URL for Intune Microsoft Feedback Portal – https://aka.ms/IntuneFeedback . You can use the full URL https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com/feedback/forum/ef1d6d38-fd1b-ec11-b6e7-0022481f8472

This is the newest platform built on Microsoft Dynamics to help Intune community and customers to provide public feedback for the MEM products such as Intune. New Feature requirements for Intune should go to this portal now.

NOTE! – A lot of existing ideas or new feature requests are already migrated to the Microsoft Feedback portal for Intune from Intune UserVoice portal. Still, Intune LAPs is the topmost voted feature request.

I did vote up Intune LAPS idea today but It was a bit weird that it shows my vote was casted 1 month ago Upvoted by you! I don’t know why is this happening with this new portal.

UserVoice for Intune SCCM Dead?

Yes, this is correct. UserVoice portal for Intune and ConfigMgr is down now with a 404 error. Microsoft officially confirmed this sometime back. The following is the error message you get when trying to access Intune or SCCM UserVoice portal.

“This UserVoice instance is no longer available. Error 404: The account has been deleted.”

We will be moving away from UserVoice feedback sites on a product-by-product basis throughout the 2021 calendar year. We will leverage 1st party solutions for customer feedback.

The following is the exact message that you get from the Microsoft website. “We will be moving away from UserVoice feedback sites on a product-by-product basis throughout the 2021 calendar year. We will leverage 1st party solutions for customer feedback.”

NOTE! – The following link (https://aka.ms/IntuneFeedback) is still directed to the UserVoice page that is down. Updated on 11th Nov 2021 – It’s working now.

Microsoft is expected to move away from the UserVoice portal product by product and complete this migration for all the products by the end of the 2021 calendar year. More details https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/uservoice-pages-430e1a78-e016-472a-a10f-dc2a3df3450a.

Thanks to the MEM team, they have already made it clear to customers that they should use either of the following methods to continue providing feedback to the Microsoft product groups.

Microsoft Feedback Portal

Microsoft released a preview version of the Microsoft Feedback Portal a while back. When I looked at last time, the only two products got migrated to Microsoft Feedback Portal. I’m not sure whether this portal is the destination for all the feedback or not.

https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com/feedback/

Microsoft already onboarded two of their products to the Microsoft Feedback portal, as mentioned above. Those products are Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Edge. You can start sharing your feedback and help Microsoft make improvements and build new products or features.

NOTE! – I don’t know whether SCCM and Intune (Microsoft Endpoint Manager) products will get migrated to this feedback portal or not. We will have to wait and see. Look for future announcements, maybe? Updated on 11th Nov 2021 – Intune and SCCM Microsoft Feedback portals are live.

Tech Community Portal Feedback for Intune SCCM

As per Microsoft’s last communication (blog post), you can provide feedback about ConfigMgr (and Intune?) through the Tech Community portal. When you Send a suggestion from the SCCM console, it will temporarily redirect to the product feedback documentation page.

Microsoft Tech Community – https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/

The Microsoft Tech Community portal is one of the places where you can share the feedback for ConfigMgr and SCCM. There are other channels to provide product feedback directly with the product teams. I think this is the official product feedback channel for Microsoft Intune.

Feedback for ConfigMgr Instead of UserVoice

You can use the in-console feedback for Configuration Manager (aka SCCM). This feedback from the console goes directly to the MEM ConfigMgr (aka SCCM) product team. I recommend using this feedback channel for SCCM.

The following are the options to provide in-console feedback for the ConfigMgr. The Send a Smile and Send a Frown are the two options to share feedback about SCCM. However, I don’t think there is a similar option for Microsoft Intune.

  • Send a smile (ALT+SHIFT+7)
  • Send a frown (ALT+SHIFT+8)
  • Send a Suggestion (ALT+SHIFT+9)
  • Contact Support (ALT+SHIFT+0)

The Send a Smile and Send a Frown are the two options to provide feedback to the MEM ConfigMgr product team from the SCCM console itself. You can check the smiley icon (🙂) below the close (X) button of the SCCM console.

NOTE!Send A Suggestion option won’t work as you expect because of the retirement of the UserVoice portal for the SCCM.

Microsoft provided the following channels to provide the product by product based feedback.

  • In-product experiences (SCCM in-console feedback?)
  • Windows Feedback Hub (Windows 10 or Windows 11)
  • Microsoft Tech Community (for Intune and SCCM?)
  • Microsoft Store (for Company Portal app?)

Twitter Feedback

You can continue providing Intune feedback using Intune Support Team Twitter account. You can also provide feedback through The ConfigMgr Team’s official Twitter account. I have seen very helpful replies and suggestions from those accounts. So, it’s worth a follow and provide feedback there as well.

Windows 365 Cloud PC Feedback or Feature Request

Windows 365 product team has already made arrangements to collect the ideas and feature requests from the customers using the Microsoft Tech Community site. So this is another place that you will need to keep an eye on and provide feedback if you are working with a Cloud PC solution.

Windows 365 Feature Request – https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/windows-365-feature-requests/idb-p/Windows365Requests

I’m happy to see that many ideas are being investigated by the Windows 365 Cloud PC product team.

Azure Virtual Desktop Feedback

I’m working with the Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) solution as well. The Azure Virtual Desktop (aka AVD) product team also has a separate Microsoft Tech Community page(s) for feedback. This product team would like to call it ideas and features for AVD.
