ConfigMgr 2006 Production Version Generally Available now. Microsoft released the SCCM opt-in version of 2006 on August 10, 2020. This was announced by David James, Director of Engineering, ConfigMgr & Desktop Analytics, Microsoft.

The Microsoft Configuration Manager (ConfigMgr) team released the 2006 version in the SLOW ring. You don’t need to run the PowerShell script to get the 2006 update.

As per David James from Microsoft, the ConfigMgr 2006 hotfixes for the early versions of Fast ring/opt-in versions of SCCM 2006 installations will be available soon.
