In Microsoft Edge, the toolbar is a crucial part of the browser. Users can access their favourite sites and functions with a single icon. Users can customize the toolbar with their preferred icons and apps to make everything they need easily accessible.

If too many tasks are performed at once due to the number of active buttons open in the toolbar, resources are reduced faster than usual.

The toolbar is an essential part of the browser. It allows users to open sites and functions by simply choosing an icon. Sometimes, the toolbar disappears due to a technical error. The first step is restarting the browser whenever you face a missing toolbar. Occasionally, it’s just a temporary bug. Restarting your browser is the first and simplest way to restore it. Close the browser fully and reopen it. If it’s a temporary issue, your toolbar will come back. If the problem continues, try the next step.

Clear Cache and Browser Data
If your toolbar suddenly disappears, it is because of a cluttered cache or corrupted browser data. To restore the missing toolbar, you should clear the browsing data containing history, passwords, cookies, and more. There is the option of what to clear. This will clear your data across all your synced devices in this profile.
- Open the Settings and More menu by selecting the three dots (…) in the upper-right corner of the Microsoft Edge browser or pressing Alt + F.
- Select Settings

Navigate to Privacy, Search, and Services. You can see Clear browsing data there.
- Click Choose what to clear.

When you click Choose what to clear, a pop-up window will appear where you can select whatever you want to clear. This might include browsing and download history, cookies and other site data, and cached images and files.
- Select Clear Now.
- After that, Restart Microsoft Edge to see if your toolbar appears.

Temporarily Disable the Installed Extensions
Sometimes, your installed extensions can affect the toolbar’s functions. Follow the below steps to temporarily disable the installed extensions.
- Open the Settings and More menu by selecting the ellipses (…) in the upper-right corner of your Microsoft Edge browser or Alt + F.
- Select Extensions from the dropdown menu.
- From the pop-up, select Manage Extensions.

To test the toolbar’s visibility, disable each installed extension by turning it off. Then, check whether your missing toolbar appears by Refresh the window.
- If it does, enable each extension to test the toolbar visibility.

Reset Edge Settings
