The AI Interpretation Agent in Microsoft Teams is a global communication feature introduced at Ignite 2024. During a Teams meeting, participants can speak in their native language. The AI Interpretation Agent listens and provides translations in real-time to other participants in their preferred language.
The AI Interpretation Agent in Microsoft Teams makes virtual collaboration more accessible and inclusive. It helps people worldwide communicate better by removing language barriers and making meetings and teamwork more effective.

To use it, you must enable Language Interpretation, choose a Source Language (the original language spoken), select a Target Language (the language for translation), and then click Save.

New AI Interpretation Agent in Microsoft Teams Real Time Translation
In Microsoft Teams, join a meeting and click the 3 dots (More options). From the menu that pops up, select Language and Speech, and then choose the exciting new feature called Turn on AI Interpretation. This will enable real-time translation and interpretation during the meeting.

AI Interpretation Available
When the AI Interpretation pop-up window shows up, you can pick the language you want to hear in the meeting. Just click the Choose Interpretation Language button in the pop-up.
This feature helps everyone participate in meetings and facilitates communication. To use it, scroll through the list and select the language you want to hear. For example, if the meeting is in English but you prefer Spanish, select “Spanish” from the list.
