In this article am going to explain how to Enable Startup Boost in Edge Browser with Microsoft Intune. Enabling Startup Boost in Microsoft Edge is a simple way to make the browser launch faster. When this feature is turned on, certain Edge processes run in the background even after you close the browser. This reduces the time it takes to open Edge, especially right after starting your computer.
To enable it, open Microsoft Edge, go to Settings > System and Performance, and toggle on the Startup Boost option. Once activated, Edge will preload key components in the background, improving startup time without significantly affecting your device’s performance.
Startup Boost is available on Windows devices (excluding Windows 10X and Server editions) that meet certain hardware and usage criteria. Specifically, it supports systems with more than 4GB of RAM, or more than 1GB of RAM if the device uses a modern disk, such as an SSD or a modern HDD that supports Trim and Seek Penalty.
Startup Boost is especially useful for users who frequently use Edge as their primary browser. It ensures a smoother experience by minimizing wait times and keeping the browser ready to go when needed. This feature works best on devices with sufficient memory and resources.

Search “Startup Boost” as a keyword. This will help us to find the correct policy based on your current needs. Now you can see the browse by category found as Microsoft Edge\Performance. Click that and check the “Enable startup boost” Settings name and close the Settings picker window.

Note! Allows Microsoft Edge processes to start at OS sign-in and restart in background after the last browser window is closed. If Microsoft Edge is running in background mode, the browser might not close when the last window is closed and the browser won’t be restarted in background when the window closes.
Note! See the ‘BackgroundModeEnabled‘ (Continue running background apps after Microsoft Edge closes) policy for information about what happens after configuring Microsoft Edge background mode behavior. If you enable this policy, startup boost is turned on. If you disable this policy, startup boost is turned off. If you don’t configure this policy, startup boost may initially be off or on. The user can configure its behavior in edge://settings/system. Learn more about startup boost: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2147018
On the next page, leave the Scope tags as Default. If your tenant has custom scope tags, you can select them based on your policy needs, then click on Next.
