Windows Autopilot: Simple Fast and Predictable

Windows Autopilot is designed to be simple, fast, and predictable. It helps speed up the device enrollment process and allows you to group devices for easier management. You can prioritize workloads to ensure essential tasks are handled first.

Adaptiva

It also offers detailed reporting to track the setup process more closely. With Windows Attestation, you can validate your hardware for security. Enrollment restrictions help ensure only authorized devices are enrolled, and it now supports deployments in Government Cloud environments for added protection and compliance.

Autopilot Policy Creation

Let’s discuss the new Autopilot Device Provisioning features in the Intune admin center. To get started, you first create an Autopilot policy.

  • Go to the Intune admin center and select Devices > Windows > Enrollment > Device Preparation policy.
  • In the Basic tab, you’ll need to provide a name and a policy description.
  • For Device group settings, select a group by typing the group name in the search box.

Select Apps and Scripts for Out-of-Box Experience (OOBE) Setup

One of the new features you’ll notice is the ability to select the apps and scripts you want to run during the Out-of-Box Experience (OOBE). This means you can choose your most essential apps to be installed immediately during setup, while other apps can be loaded once the desktop is ready. This helps speed up the setup process by prioritizing the critical apps first.
