KMS Client Generic Product Key

Microsoft has also shared generic Windows 11 product keys that work with the Windows KMS (Key Management Service) activation method. KMS is an on-premises activation service that many organizations have used for years to activate Windows devices inside their network. The Generic Volume License Keys (GVLKs) for different editions of Windows 11 and Windows Server 2022 are listed in the table below.

Command Prompt Method to Find Out the Windows 11 Product Keys

You can retrieve the product key for Windows 11 using the Command Prompt, open CMD with administrative privileges and run the command shown below. This command queries the system’s licensing information and displays the original product key stored in the device firmware (if available).

You can use the WMI Explorer tool, created by Microsoft Employee Vinay. You can download the Tool from Vinay Pamnani: https://github.com/vinaypamnani/wmie2/releases.

• Launch the WMI Explorer tool
• Connect to the location device by just clicking on the Connect button.
• Click on Root\CIMV2 namespace.
• Click on the EXECUTE button at the bottom right screen to launch the WMI query search window.
• In the search box, enter the following query -> Output view -> List View.
• Click on the Execute button to get the results (Windows 11 product key).
