Copilot is an AI assistant developed by Microsoft. It is the best AI tool and is an everyday companion for users to help with difficult tasks. It also generates content like emails, reports, presentations, and even code.
How to Change Location and Language in the Copilot App
Above, we discussed many things related to a Copilot. Now, we have to discuss our topic. First, we can look at how to set the language for the Copilot apps. The Copilot in the Edge browser depends on the Edge settings. When we use the Copilot app, we can only focus on the Copilot settings and add preferences to our settings. First, you have to download the Copilot from the MS store.
- Open the MS Store to download Copilot.
- Search Copilot in the MS Store search bar.
- Click on the Get option, and wait for it to download until you get the Open option.
- Click on the Open
How to Change Language in the Copilot
Below, you can see the Copilot main page, just like our Edge Copilot chat. The main difference between them is some changes in settings and options. The critical option is the hamburger menu( 3 horizontal lines )for More options.
- Click on the Hamburger Menu
When you click on the hamburger menu, you will see many essential options for Copilot features. The first option is Settings. Click on the Upward arrow of the settings. You will see the options in settings.

- Here, you can see that English is the defaulted language
You will go to the language settings when you click the language option. Here, you can see that the Display language is set as English. Also, you can see the language options available for the Copilot.

When you click See More Languages, you can set any language for your Copilot. For example, I have to see Hindi as my preferred language, and I would love to work with that language. So I must select the Hindi language and Click on the Hindi option.
- Click on the Save option.
Result of Change Language in the Copilot
As a result, you will see that the Hindi language is set to the Copilot Hamburger Menu and search bar; everything is showing in Hindi. You can easily change this using the language options.
Search Result Languages
This allows users to customize the languages for their search results. This is an exciting feature, as it will enable you to get search results in the languages you are most comfortable with, enhancing your overall experience with Copilot. There are 2 options in this category.

If I select the Option I prefer results in these languages; you will see that many language options are available. If you want more languages, click on the see more language option. Here, you can select the language you want to get the search results in that language.

How to Change Location in the Copilot
The Next topic we have to discuss is how to change the Location in a Copilot. First, select the language settings option. When you click on settings, you will see the Location option.

After clicking on the Location, you will get the Location settings window. In this window, you can enter the location you want to set for the Copilot. For example, I typed Bengaluru (it is automatically visible when you type). Then click on the Save option.
